TREE OF LIFE
Many spiritual traditions around the world believe trees as a universal symbol depicting “Life” and have connections to things around. All forms of life are interconnected through one cosmic energy and we as humans live in harmony with the rest of the species.
Symbol of Interconnection
Just as Roots reach deeply into the soil, acknowledging connection to, and accepting nourishment from, Mother Earth. Leaves and branches extend into the sky, accepting energy from Father Sun and transforming it into nourishment.
So are we deeply connected to the world around us, dependent on it for our own ability to grow and thrive in life. For us to succeed there has to a interconnectivity between the earth (our core value systems), all living things (physical and mental well-being), and heaven(whatever name, fame, awards we have achieved in life)
Symbol of growth and strength
When trees are young, they all look similar. Over time the ability to withstand sun, storms and rain; the nourishment they take from soil and water around; helps them to reflect their true shape and fruits. Similarly for individuals; the hardships and adulations, the knowledge, the experiences one undergo in life develop them into unique and beautiful person.
Symbol of Generations of Family
A tree sprouts from the seed, grows into branches, decides the path it takes, bears the fruits and then gives life to the next generation to begin afresh. Sacred Geometry- Fibonacci
In the Fibonacci Series, each number is the sum of the previous two, starting from 0 and 1. Therefore, the series looks like this: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, and so on.
The ratio of consecutive Fibonacci numbers approaches the ‘golden ratio’ or phi = 1.618. (In mathematics, two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities; that is, (a+b)/a = a/b; if a is larger than b).
Visually this creates a swirling pattern as the sequence goes on..
