VINE LEAF

The ability of vine to move and grow into most unlikely places signifies the will to strive against all odds and depict determination.

The branching out vine depicts making connections and expanding in new directions and embracing new ideas.

Vine leaves are symbolic of meeting the light as its tendrils curl into any space to meet the light. 

It depicted different meanings in different societies.

Celtic associated growth patterns of leaves with regeneration, connection, continuation and opportunity. The fruit produced wine which is spiritually the symbol of joy.

In Sumerians, in recognition of the regenerative nature of vine, this was associated as symbol of life. Its leaf was considered a sacred icon for their Mother Goddess.

In Greek and Romans, is considered as libation to the god. Dionysus(God of a vintage), known as Bacchus in the Roman tradition is often depicted in paintings carrying a grape vine or bunches of grapes. 

Christianity considers it sacred as fruits are symbolic to big harvest.

Israel considered vine as a sacred trees in the Old Testament. It represented its special privilege with God and represents fruitfulness in doing God’s work on earth.

Certain ancient medical texts, considered as elixir of good health.
